You don’t need me to point out the obvious that cooking on a boat, whether tucked up in a marina or out at sea, has its own unique set of challenges. What has bouyed me up to try a more adventurous and varied diet has been the generosity of others who, having learnt through their own trials and tribulations, have gone on to share their culinary expertise.
Below is a little of the knowledge I have gained from those who have adventured further down the culinary path and from my own experiments in the galley, passed on in the hope that it may prove useful to someone starting out on their own quest for knowledge in the art of ‘cooking on a boat’.
